Could you please try switching the game to English version to see if the error persists? I had my playthrough with English language and it worked fine. Looking at the logs I'm just guessing this might be something with localization.
According to recent patch notes, the "P.S." section, there've been automatic pre-transtlation, something must have gone wrong there. Hopefully, this will be covered soon. It's worth mentioning for devs, this bug report covers Russian version of the game.
I have the same problem with the game. And before, at the start of the game, after a few minutes, a dialogue began with the beginning of the quest and gave the direction to the Obelisk to start the quest, now this is not there, in any localization. And when the quest is activated in the pda, a lot of red lines pop up in the kosol, as in the screenshot. And I also noticed in the old versions, in the quest consoles on the starting planets, in the planet location menu, where the indication of where to go for magazines, for example, on Skillon, is empty, when you click on this menu, the dialog window immediately closes. This menu item only works on Akua. PS. Tell me, is it possible to somehow transfer the localization files of the quest dialogs from version 1.8.8 everything worked there?
You are on RU as well? The "direction heading" has been removed, but it was not essential for the Tales of Tash starting anyways. Picking up the first log (from whatever source) should start it. Will have to investigate a bit, but in terms of the OP it might be a loca problem.
I think I found the issue. Will be added to next update, but you can already try the file attached. Simply copy to ...\Empyrion - Galactic Survival and hit 'overwrite' Start a new game to check if everything works now. (PS: In your ongoing game it should update in case you open the console and type in 'ds reload' and hit return. Then a 2nd time type in 'ds reload' and hit return)
