[This tool can't edit Discount for Traders, which was introduced in Alpha 9. You have to manually edit them. Everything else should still work.] Let me introduce a small tool i made, the Empyrion Trader Editor. What can you do with the Empyrion Trader Editor? You can load in a TraderNPCConfig-File and edit all the traders. You can change the buy/sell prices, aswell as the amount of items the trader will sell. You can double/half all sell/buy prices of every Trader at once. The Empyrion Trader Editor does not overwrite your original TraderNPCConfig-File, and creates a backup, too. If you make changes with this tool, you have to rename the original TraderNPCConfig-File by yourself, so you will never loose anything if you use this tool! What can't you do with the Empyrion Trader Editor? You can't add new traders with this tool, but you can edit traders that you have created manually in the TraderNPCConfig-File. You can't add or remove items to the traders, but as above, you can edit them. Also you can't change the names of the traders with this tool. How do i use this tool? Just download the zip-file, open it and start the EmpyrionTraderEditor.exe. There is no installation needed for this tool! You can find more informations about how to use this tool under Help -> Info. What can i do if i have problems using this tool? If you have problems with this tool, you can leave a post here and if there are bugs, i will make updates for this tool! Also my english isn't my native language, so if there are some wrong spellings in this tool, just tell me and i will fix them!
It's a great start! I was kinda considering making one for the purpose Consider adding additional features, such as those you've mentioned as 'can't do' - that would be a great convenience I'm sure Also consider dropping Jascha a message for this thread: https://empyriononline.com/threads/server-tool-mod-list.10916/
Just tested. This is incorrect. The file works fine... Consider getting a better tool to open it Winrar does it np atleast.
EPD (Empyrion Playfield Designer) includes a trader config editor that works quite well as an alternative to this.
I'd prefer to edit it directly with notepad. Unfortunately, there's a large number of traders near the bottom half of the file that aren't finished and as far as I know don't actually spawn in the game, so changing them may screw up a mission or scenario somewhere in the game.
