This may be a game engine thing as I recall 7 Days to Die (which also uses Unity) having the same issue. Is there a way (maybe via editing game files?) to extend the draw distance of lights greater than 100m? If not, it'd be a good "Suggestions" candidate. Example: I have a base that's very well lit on both the exterior and interior. But all of the lights immediately "disappear" when you're at a distance greater than 100m. Such a limit today minimizes the "wow factor" of people's builds regardless if it's a base or ship. Also for reference, 100m is roughly equal to 1 American football field.
I suspect it's a performance/engine issue too, but perhaps the user could adjust it, and also it would be nice if they faded in a bit more rather than appearing relatively suddenly.
