The suggestions forum has some great ideas, but it is also a huge mess. Requests, misconceptions and explanations are all constantly repeated in useless ways, and there's almost no organization that might allow either users or devs to look through suggestions on a particular topic (tags aren't used very well and are very limited anyway). Sometimes the worst suggestions create a lot of argument so the very reasonable suggestions that don't get comments are buried within a few days, never to be read again. There needs to be a well maintained 'read this first'/'frequent suggestions' post. The forum could probably use subsections. Also 'heres my huge list of suggestions and complaints' should be discouraged or filed somewhere in favour of more precise posts. The goal should be to stop everyone repeating the same stuff (which happens constantly) and to turn the suggestion forum into something the very time-poor devs might actually find useful, and therefore, might pay more attention to. I think it might help if the devs invite a few trusted active users to help manage and organise this section of the forum a little better. For example, I've noticed Vermillion, RavenFF, and Pear78 are major long-term contributors both on the forum and in terms of game content creation, seem well informed and generally remain fairly polite and reasonable. Trying to make sense of a repeating and confused suggestions forum when they could be making the game better isn't an ideal use of the devs time (from anyone's perspective), so maybe recruiting a little assistance from the community could help.
Woah, there! Don't go throwing around accusations like "Polite" and "Reasonable". Everyone knows i'm an asshole.
